Crane Installation Project for CBCF

Why the Crane?
Why 1000? Handmade Flowers ?

Cure Brain Caner Foundation's logo is an origami crane.
Origami originates from Japan, where an ancient legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by the gods. Some stories believe you are granted happiness and eternal good luck, instead of just one wish, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. This makes them popular gifts for special friends and family.
The Crumbz Craft Community is creating a single crane as an art installation which will take pride of place in our shop window covered with 1,000 knitted and crocheted flowers as a symbol of long life and good luck in finding a Cure for Brain Cancer.
In support of Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, Crumbz Craft is donating the yarn, the flowers are being handmade by volunteers, and we are selling the handmade flowers to attach to the crane to raise funds and awareness during the month of May 2019. At the end of our month of fundraising and when the crane is completely covered in 1,000 flowers, we will be donating this work of art to CBCF.
